My question is, where did all the H2o go? Isn't water basically on a repetitive cycle? It becomes vapor, gathers in clouds, then falls back down and repeats the whole process. Water doesn't just disappear, or go floating off into space somewhere. I'm no meteorologist or scientist, but I'm of the opinion that the Earth has about as much water on it as it ever has. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The Pacific Northwest where it rains all the time, rarely snows, and the Sun hardly shines. Ahhhhhhh, paradise.

This One Is For Scholar And His Celebrated WT Scholars
by Honesty ini have some quotes from several respected bible linguists regarding the new world translation: .
dr. julius mantey - "a manual grammar of the greek new testament" calls the new world translation "a shocking mistranslation".
dr. bruce metzger, late professor of new testament at princeton university -"a frightful mistranslation", "erroneous", "pernicious", and "reprehensible".

I bet Scholar thinks a Muff'n'egg is the most brilliant translation of an Egg McMuffin, made by the WTS' Celebrated Culinary Artists that make all other chefs in the world look like turds.

Watchtower Gives Up Explaining 607 BCE Date!
by VM44 inthis is a very important observation, that the watchtower has not tried to explain in print why 607 bce is the year for the destruction of jerusalem for the last 17 years!!!.
all that the watchtower has done over most of the last two decades is to repeat over and over the year "607bce" in its publications as if it is an unquestioned fact!.
the last time an explaination for the year was attempted by the watchtower was in 1988 when the "insight" volumes were published, but since then, no explaination for the validity of the year has appeared in print.. this must mean something, but what?

ANYBODY STILL HAVE A WITNESS MENTALITY?
by stillAwitness ino.k so i am living the "double life" i suppose.

How precisely will god save the JWs at armageddon?
by kid-A inhave you ever wondered, based upon the artists conception below, how it is jehovah will supposedly "save" the witnesses during his "great day of vengeance(tm)".
i mean, will he transport all 6 million of them into waiting cruise ships while he is throwing fireballs onto the earth?
how will all the dubs avoid falling into those giant crevasses as he starts the continental earthquakes?

Maybe Joe Hoba will distribute special rain slickers and umbrellas that repel falling fire and brimstone to the righteous.

I agree with stilla. If I told my gf that her butt looked big in a certain outfit, she would turn my jumblies into a cat-toy.

So, are you, by nature, and introvert or extrovert?
by onacruse inmulan's thread, and simon's post thereto, got me to thinking about this, especially in terms of what i might be today, minus the influence of the wts.. by nature, i was always an introvert.
early on (age 10 or so), i immersed myself in mathematics, physics, chemistry...the "pure" sciences, devoid of "worldly" meaning...just the plain and simple facts, thank you ma'am.
i'd stay in my room and study stuff until my mom had to literally grab me by the ear and say "craig, go outside and blow off the stink!.

Kind of on the fence. It depends on the person or group of people involved.

Reality TV and talk shows infuriate me.
by Low-Key Lysmith inimo, they are no different a form of entertainment than the gladiatorial arena fights of ancient rome.
i actually feel that they are more sinister because they attack people on an emotional level.
jerry springer, dr. phil, the real world, survivor, elimidate, all are full of nothing but catty, bitchy women and douchebag frat boys or people cheating on one another, or a panel of celebrity "judges" who do nothing but get laughs by ruthlessly insulting other people.

I feel like I've been mentally sodomized every time I turn on the TV anymore. I don't want to believe it, but it reinforces the "people having no natural affection for each other" scripture. I think it's really sad that we as a people are reduced to getting our kicks watching someone get emotionally torn apart. I watched the "Paris Hilton" episode of South Park the other day and I couldn't believe how they had hit the nail right on the head by making the statement that society glorifies being a "Stupid Spoiled Whore". Maybe I'm just a stick in the mud, but I think it's really shitty to be entertained by someone else's pain, sorrow, or humiliation.
